Blogs/Sites made for other people. Either maintained by them, or me, depending their request. Is that possible? Yes it it.
Complicated, easy, fancy, classy, there are many possibilites how to make your blog look.
WEBSITE
What I like best is to make a blog look like it's a 'real' website. I achieve this by adding html coding, rewriting scripts, changing template codes, adding fancy widgets or rewriting widget codes, using my experience with scripts and html that I learned when I made 'real websites' only, using Frontpage. If you bought a domain, smart domain redirecting will give your blog your own site url on every blogpage without the .blogspot bit in it. One of my most website-style and technically most complicated blog is Beliebers United if you like to see an example.
BASIC
When you like to maintain your own blog, but just like somebody else to create your layout and like to keep it simple there are many possibilites to make your blog look great without all the extras.
WHY BLOGS...
- It's free, you don't have to pay for a domain if you don't want to pay hosting costs.
- If you do have a domain it's easy to redirect it to your blog.
- No server or upload problem that you need to solve yourself. Nothing as annoying and stressful as ftp problems or other technical server problems when you don't know what you're doing. Blogs are hosted on Blogger's servers, technical problems, if they'd occur, will be solved by Blogger and will effect everybody's blog not just yours, so there is always a high priority.
- Perfect system for reacions and other interactivity from your visitors. Easy to use.
- You can work on your blog everywhere where you have access to a pc. Even posting via your smartphone is possible.
- It's easy to work on a blog with more people if you like, for example, have me as your technical back up when you maintain your blog yourself. Or just when you like to co-work with others. You can give different people different editing rights, nobody can mess up your layout.
WHY NOT DREAMWEAVER, FRONTPAGE ANYMORE...
- I didn't like the stress anymore when there is an unexpected upload problem or server problem. Especially not when I still had my massive fansite with 2000 visitors per day that I had built in Frontpage. When I closed this I thought: This.. never again.
- It takes quite a lot of study to be able to build yourself what Blogger can do with a few mouseclicks, or after rewriting scripts and html codes. I just can't find the time to keep up to date with learning about new technical elements.
- I like to have multiple blogs/sites but can't keep buying domains for every single one of them, or keep creating subdomains that never have the exact name I like. Blogs are free..
- You can only work on selfbuilt sites on your own computer, or on a computer that has the exact same program installed that you work in.
- Cause I can make a blog look like a website, using the technical benefits of Blogger, and using my experience with selfbuilt websites.
- Coworking is a lot harder than with blogs. You need to have technical knowledge to be able to work on somebody else's site, it's easier to accidentally mess up a part of the layout or to make codes invalid when you work on somebody else's site. Also you can't have me as technical backup cause once you've got the site in your posession you've got it totally.

Am I still a webdesign company?
I used to be. I used to run CBH Webdesign a few years ago, and I only made 'real websites' for small companies or clubs, institutions.. It didn't take long to notice that making work of your hobby isn't as nice as I thought it was. I missed the creative freedome, the fun. There were technical requests that I couldn't build in as easy as I wanted without more study. Also rumours had it that Frontpage was gonna be discontinued as leading webdesigners program next to Dreamweaver and Wordpress. More study to keep up with the changes. Time for a decision whether to start from scratch or change course using my knowledge of html.
I am a blog designer now, for fun, cause I like creating blogs. And I might like to help you out by creating your blog. I 'never say never', I probably say yes. If I like what you want, if I feel the 'inspiration rush' when you tell me what you want. Does it cost? I don't know, we'll see.. probably not. Depends on what you want, only when it's technically really difficult. I would say, just ask me when you want a blog that you don't want to set up yourself..
